Below are testimonials provided from members of the HBA of Greater Springfield. You will see there are a variety of benefits associated with being a member. We have a bullet list of member benefits, but members explain it best.
Since adding a Banner Ad to the Home Page of SpringfieldHBA.com and a Web Link to iFINDAPRO I have seen a noticeable increase in web traffic. Approximately 75% of traffic to my site originates from SpringfieldHBA.com. I am sure the addition of a few Keywords to iFINDAPRO will continue to help referrals come my way.
Electronic advertising on SpringfieldHBA.com compliments my print advertising in the HBA Event Magazine which is a great way to make my presence known at the HBA Events.
I consider these to be nice little bonuses to my HBA Membership.

I chose to become an Advocacy Champion Investor in the Coalition for Building a Better Tomorrow because I support “fighting the good fight” for builders through the HBA’s regulatory, legislative, and political advocacy. As a ‘thank you’ to advocacy champions, the HBA arranges one-on-one and small group access for us with leading builder members. Through these meetings, I’ve earned new business from two builders who care about my support of their advocacy efforts. I am an Advocacy Champion because what matters to builders matters to me. Getting new business out of the deal just makes it that much better!

We started our business back in 2008 and were hesitant to advertise in the HBA Event Magazine because sign-up came just a few months after we started the business. Since we reserved booth space for the 2009 Home Show we felt it would be a great way to reinforce our presence as well as a way to be in the Parade of Homes and Home Remodeling EXPO with a single publication. Even though we had limited funds we believe it was a great investment. Unfortunately we had to pass on the HBA Event Magazine advertising back in 2010, but we purposefully budgeted funds for the 2011 and 2012 magazine to make sure we are in.
We know the advertising is working because a number of people have kept the HBA Magazine and brought it in with them to our showroom. We may not always receive a direct lead from our ad, but we know that it is being seen and the additional reinforcement of our company name and image will assist in a quality lead.

A few years ago we approached the HBA with the idea of sponsoring the HBA Membership Directory. The HBA staff worked with us to make our sponsorship just what we needed it to be. Our HBA always looks for ways to deliver extra value for the sponsorships that Southern Supply and Southern Materials are a part of. They even worked with us to expand our Membership Directory sponsorship to include iFINDAPRO.com, the electronic searchable version of the directory.
In addition to our Membership Directory Launch Sponsorship, our investment in the CBBT as an Advocacy Champion Investor helped us connect directly with leading HBA Builders in a more personal environment, while also having some fun and supporting what matters most to builders: HBA Advocacy.

We at Herrman Lumber Company believe the HBA of Greater Springfield has always had our best interest in mind as they look out for both builders and suppliers. NAHB Education was one of the ways we felt the HBA was providing valuable knowledge and serving as a resource for HBA Members. So we approached the HBA to develop an Education Sponsorship. In a short time the HBA had a plan in place and worked with us to further develop the sponsorship. Herrman Lumber is proud to support HBA builders as they pursue professional designations, and distinguish themselves from their competition. We are excited to explore new HBA sponsorships that will help HBA Members and the Building Industry.

What matters to home builders matters to Meek’s. Every day, political, regulatory and legislative forces conspire to threaten builders’ businesses. That’s why HBA advocacy is what matters most to HBA builders. And it matters to me too. My business depends on their business – and that depends on HBA advocacy. That’s why I’m proud to be an Advocacy Champion Investor in the Coalition for Building a Better Tomorrow. The HBA gives advocacy champions exclusive access to leading builders in the industry. It’s a great way to let builders know that Meek’s cares about what they care about most: advocacy.

The Parade of Homes has been in valuable in allowing us to showcase our construction style and quality to the custom market. The Parade is our most important marketing tool.
Since the Auto-Owners Insurance group savings program was enacted a little more than seven months ago, my agency has provided discounts to HBA members totalling more than $50,000. They simply would not have realized those savings without HBA membership.

The HBA Home Show is a very valuable marketing tool for our company. We track every lead and there were so many appointments from the 2007 show that we were incredibly busy for months afterward just from those contacts. Plus, many callers are referred from the HBA office.
