The HBA of Greater Springfield is excited to announce that Matt Morrow, past CEO of the HBA of Greater Springfield, will be returning to Springfield later this fall to begin his new job – President and CEO of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce!
After serving as the CEO of the HBA of Greater Springfield for nearly twelve years, Matt accepted the job of Executive Vice President of the Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders in Birmingham, Alabama. Prior to beginning work in the HBA world, Matt was an award-winning radio broadcaster, radio station manager and spent nearly five years with Ashcroft as Missouri Press Secretary and District Office Director.
During Matt’s time with the HBA of Greater Springfield, he received the New Executive Officer of the Year award from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in 2002, was named as one of Springfield Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 in 2004 and was named the Executive Officer of the Year by NAHB in 2007.
Matt continues to be a strong advocate for the housing industry. His return to the Springfield area expands the opportunities for the HBA to partner with the Chamber to promote our members and housing in general.
