Local Walmart stores support Habitat for Humanity

Local Walmart stores support Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, MO home repair programs: Store #2389 provides $1,000 grant; Store #2221 provides $500 grant

Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, MO (HFHS) receives support from local Walmart stores to fund home repair programs. Walmart Store #2221 provided a $500.00 grant to fund an “A Brush with Kindness” project which assists homeowners with exterior repair work including painting, debris removal and landscaping. Walmart Store #2839 provided a $1,000 grant to complete two Critical Home Repair projects which assists homeowners with extensive interior or exterior work including siding repair or replacement, window and door repair or replacement and other similar work.

“Our goal is to keep homeowners in their homes,” said Larry Peterson, executive director of HFHS. “It’s wonderful that these Walmart stores are supporting our home repair programs to meet the needs of our community.”
