Local Door Company Earns National Accreditation

Brookline Doorworks, Springfield, Missouri, has been designated as an IDEA Accredited Door and Access Systems Company by the Institute of Door Dealer Education and Accreditation. The Accreditation is effective as of July 1, 2016.
The designation is held by fewer than 300 independent door dealers in the U. S. and Canada.

Door and Access Systems Dealer Accreditation is earned by companies who sell, install and service a wide range of automated door and access systems, which typically include residential garage doors, commercial doors, rolling steel doors, fire doors and retail grilles. Such products are most often automated, requiring special knowledge and skills to ensure the products are dependable, safe and secure.

IDEA Accreditation represents the highest level of commitment to quality and safety by the ownership and management of each applicant company. It requires each company to demonstrate through a qualifying owner or manager the ability to pass written examinations covering Accounting and General Business Principles, Insurance and Legal, OSHA Compliance and Safety Management, Residential Technical Basics, Commercial Technical Basics, Sales and Marketing.

Applicant companies must also submit proof of liability and workers’ compensation insurance, letters of recommendation and documentation of federal employer identification or licensing compliance and proof of continuous existence for a minimum of two years.

IDEA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization created in 1995 to serve the general public by promoting safety and high professional standards in the door and access systems industry. IDEA Accreditation is endorsed by the Door and Access Systems Manufacturers Association (DASMA) and the International Door Association (IDA).
