The HBA Charitable Foundation (HBACF) is a very important part of the HBA. The HBACF is responsible for raising money to help support scholarships for MSU and OTC students studying construction and interior design and to help support the smoke alarm give-away program, providing free smoke alarms to local fire departments. In 2021, the HBA Charitable Foundation donated 900 smoke alarms to local area fire departments as a part of the Home Builders for Fire Safety Campaign, bringing the 10 year total to 6500 smoke alarms. These 900 smoke alarms represent the potential to protect and save more than 2,250 friends and neighbors in area communities; the 10 year total of 6500 smoke alarms represents the potential of saving more than 16,000 lives in Southwest Missouri.

Thank you again to our HBA Charitable Foundation board members for continuing the good work of the HBACF!
