To qualify for membership in the HBA of Greater Springfield, companies submit to background and credit checks. They provide business, customer, and builder references that are evaluated carefully. Builder and Remodeler members have been in business locally for a minimum of two years, and have completed a minimum of five homes. Their work is inspected at various stages of completion by experienced HBA members to ensure safety and quality. Every member of the HBA of Greater Springfield is required to carry worker’s compensation and general liability insurance - insurance you should also require of anyone working on your home. It could be your only protection from liability for on-the-job accidents or construction defects.
