Springfield HBA member Country Home Elevator and Stair Lift recently completed installing a second elevator inside Chateau Pensmore.
Although the company has installed numerous home elevators throughout greater Springfield area and elsewhere throughout Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas, Pensmore Mansion is not a typical installation. “Most residences have one or two stops, and they aren’t very far apart,” company owner Craig Jones said. “This elevator hoistway travels a distance of 66 feet. At that distance a standard residential elevator would not work. For this job we had to go with a more commercial size pump and a commercial size jack.”

This project represents the second of four elevators that the local home elevator company is installing in the 72,000 square foot mansion currently ranked in Wikipedia as America’s tenth largest private residence.
