Charlyce Ruth Named CEO of the HBA of Greater Springfield

Charlyce RuthThe Board of Directors of the Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield has selected Charlyce Ruth to formally lead the organization as CEO. Ruth has been a member of the HBA staff for more than 14 years, starting as Administrative Assistant, then promoted to Office Manager, Operations Manager and now CEO.

Ruth received her BA in Business Management and minor in Economics from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington and has lived in the Springfield area for 23 years. She started in the construction industry in 1990, working for a commercial construction company in Seattle, Washington. Ruth is currently an active member of the local National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) chapter and serves as treasurer. She received the Vesta Award for Outstanding Woman in Construction from NAWIC in 2010 and the HBA President’s Award in 2013. She currently serves as HBA liaison to the Springfield area’s Salute to Construction Council.

“Charlyce has a tremendous amount of knowledge of the construction industry and a great relationship with our members,” commented HBA Board President, Matt Bailey. “She is a good fit for the CEO position and has already proven herself as an HBA leader.”

Although Ruth has been leading the HBA of Greater Springfield in her role as Interim CEO for several months, her first day as the new CEO was Wednesday, March 19.
